This Privacy Policy explains how FLING: Skybound handles information when you use the game. FLING is designed to work without an account and without collecting information that directly identifies you.
Information FLING uses
When Gameplay Analytics is enabled, FLING sends product-improvement events such as runs started, anchors grabbed, releases, milestones, purchases, and crashes. These events use an install-scoped anonymous identifier plus app version, release, and platform.
FLING does not ask for or send your name, email address, precise location, contacts, photos, messages, or free-form user content through gameplay analytics.
How information is used
- To understand game performance and improve reliability.
- To measure gameplay features such as runs, challenges, cosmetics, and rewards.
- To diagnose crashes and technical errors without interrupting play.
- To operate purchases, advertising, and platform features you choose to use.
Analytics and your choices
Gameplay Analytics is on by default for anonymous product analytics. You can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Ads. Turning it off immediately clears the local analytics buffer and stops new analytics and error events from being sent.
Advertising
FLING uses Google AdMob for optional rewarded ads and occasional interstitial ads. On iOS, FLING requests permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt before personalized advertising is enabled. If permission is denied, FLING continues to work and requests non-personalized ads when available. You can revisit ad consent from Settings.
Service providers
FLING uses PostHog for anonymous product analytics and error events, Google AdMob for ads, RevenueCat to help process the Founder Pack entitlement, and Apple Game Center when its leaderboard features are available. These providers process information under their own privacy policies.
Purchases and Game Center
The Founder Pack is a one-time, non-consumable purchase processed by the applicable app store. FLING does not receive your full payment-card details. Game Center features are provided by Apple and are subject to Apple’s account and privacy settings.
Storage and deletion
Gameplay preferences, progress, and the local analytics buffer are stored on your device. The local event buffer is limited to the most recent 100 events. Turning off analytics clears that buffer; removing FLING removes locally stored game data. Information already processed by a third-party provider is handled according to that provider’s policy and retention practices.
Children’s privacy
FLING is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a third-party service connected to the app, please use the support page so the issue can be reviewed.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the app or its services change. The latest version will remain available on this page. For privacy questions, use the FLING support page.
